The lake is fairly shallow (4ft plus trenches) and is oval in shape with an island situated at one end and is stocked with a good variety of coarse fish including specimen carp (mirror, ghost and common) around 22/23lb, also bream, roach, tench and perch and even a large fan-tailed goldfish together with some ornamental carp. Whether you use a rod or pole, are experienced or novice our lake suits most anglers. The best fishing is achieved is with baits such as sweetcorn, luncheon meat and maggot.
There are 20 pegs most now have wooden platforms with a few grass pegs, some have level access others are accessed by steps, you can park adjacent to your peg. If you have a mobility restriction or disability please contact us to make sure we can meet your needs. There is a unisex toilet adjacent to the lake and we expect customers to use it. The caravan paddock adjacent to the lake is a private area for caravan occupants only.
There are tackle shops in nearby Horncastle or further afield in Lincoln and Sleaford. There are two supermarkets open 7 days a week in Woodhall Spa for sweetcorn and meat.

No radios unless used with earphones (to preserve the peace and quiet).
Toilet/changing facility is available and we expect you to use it!
Day tickets @ £6 per day or part day, two rods permitted @ £8 if lake not busy.
Day tickets are not transferable to another person under any circumstances.
Rod licences are required.
We never hold matches.
We expect all our customers to respect our rules, have appropriate tackle including a landing net, and a level of fishing competency.
Any person contravening our rules or found bullying or mishandling our fish will be asked to leave.
The Lake is open March to October to adults only.
Open hours are daylight hours between 7am and 8pm.

You need a rod licence to fish. NO LICENCE - NO FISHING!
You can be fined £2500 for not having a rod licence.
